Yes, I know it’s a bit Yogi Berra-esque (“It’s like deja vu all over again!”) but Der Trihs’ latest swipe here was (yet again) over the top:
When asked for a cite here and here, surprise, surprise, not even a peep.
I realize that this is par for the course when it comes to Der Trihs. This time, though, his inane “debating” has gotten out of hand. Actually, it’s derailed the thread. One might even call his posting style jerkish.
They say it’s sure sign of mental illness when you think everyone is wrong but you. How someone as otherwise intelligent as he is can think that every religious person is mentally ill, or that anyone with any connection to the Iraq war including desk jockeys should be killed, or that most of a nation’s populace is verging on being sociopaths, cannot see that something must be wrong with his own mind is beyond me.
Well, living in America, he’s obviously a sociopath.
Der Trihs is a bit, um, fixated. No doubt. And he has a serious hard on about America (as well as religion in general and Christianity specifically). If you attempt to engage him on either subject you are just going to get the same BS rantage. Simply, there is no debate with him on either subject…asking him for a cite concerning his opinion of America and Americans is just futile.
Even for him that seems to be over the top though. It’s bordering on trolling, since he’s smart enough to know the reaction he’s going to get by tossing that out in GD.

Der Trihs is like Dio if you replace the latter’s views on relationships with the former’s views on America. I like both of them.
I did notice both of them got pitted in the same week. (And the sun rose in the east this morning – I think. Didn’t bother to check.)
Naah…we’re mostly about narcissism here. Especially here in So-Cal.
And I’m the best, naturally. 
That is pretty obviously a personal opinion and not in need of a cite.
I’m Canadian and I can’t honesty say Trihs’ agony is something I could summon much concern over, as I don’t actually know him. Maybe a cursory “Lung cancer, huh? That’s a shame” post, but not much beyond that.

I’m waiting for he chorus of **DT **apologists who usually show up in these threads saying he’s misunderstood and just says things that a lot of “us” are thinking, but are too reticent to say.
Or that in threads about comic books, he is a delight.
Narrow expertise doesn’t make up for a maladjusted personality. More often, it just confirms one. (I’m a little this way myself and have known many others.)
I love him in Cafe Society and especially comic book threads but I’ve learned to just ignore him anywhere else.
It’s fairly clear he can see things than none of the rest of us can see, too… Like hordes of armed thugs.
I’m rather disappointed, myself- I always wanted to be an armed thug, but despite holding a GOP voter’s registration, and being a firearms owner, I wasn’t called. I wonder If DT can tell me how /where to join?
