What’s the weirdest named product you use for the upkeep of your body??
I am a ‘bath’ person, and as I was taking a bath tonight, slathered on my face is ‘naturalessence masque’ and I got to thinking. Isn’t a ‘masque’ an entertainment popular in England, what has that got to do with this green stuff that makes my face stretch REAL tight??? It CAN’T be for entertainment, I even hide in the bathroom, because the sight of me in a hideous green face has been known to frighten little children and small pets. So, as I’m pondering these great thoughts, my mind wandered to the SDMB folks, what say you?
Bath or shower, and what’s YOUR weirdest product name?
I need my shower in the morning to help bring me back to life and I love my baths in the evening to relax. My favourite is to have a bubble bath in Raspberry Ripple. It smells great and makes you all tingly.
I’m a shower person. I haven’t taken a bath in so long. Hmmm…maybe I’ll do that tonight. I don’t really use a lot of products that would be considered to have “weird” names. I suppose Pantene ProV is a pretty weird name. Not uncommon, but weird.
I can honestly say that I haven’t had a shower in 6 years. But that is because the house I live in only has a bathtub, and it’s one with feet!! Hope it doesn’t walk away, then I’d really be in a pickle. :D:D:D
Bath please, and my poison of choice is “Goofy Grape” bubble bath from “Dollar Tree” lol. Of course, ideally I’d get something luxurious like Vanilla Bean from Bath and Body works, but hell, I can’t see paying more than a dollar for something that get’s washed down the drain, geez!
A bath person. My house didn’t have a shower, until we moved when I was 12. But I still prefer baths.
hmmmm. oddly named product. I guess Sesame Street soap powder.
I am with Canadian Sue - I shower every morning and when I have not plans, I bathe in the evening. I like the whole nine yards - candles, dim lights, a book, jazz music, soap bubbles, a face mask. I highly recommend Bath & Body Works Joyful Splendor Bath Cream (it has some quacked name like that, it’s the pink one). I guess the three oddest products I own are Origins Let’s Circulate Salt Soap, Origins Birthday Suit Body Moisturisor, and Origins Precipitation Invisible BodySuit for dry skin. They’re expensive, but I loooove Origins and there is a store conviently located in my local mall.
CanadianSue, I’m glad you confine drinking Raspberry Ripple in the tub and not in the shower. Careful, though. You might slip in and drown. May I recommend a better bath wine, though? Just about anything.
(Hey, do they still sell the various flavors of Ripple so people know what I’m talking about? No? Oops!)
I’m a shower person. I prefer not to steep in my own juices.
Shower person…I like being rained on, especially if it is nice and warm. In the shower it should be hot and hard (No innuendos please. :: smile :: ) As for the cleaning part, I just soap up and clean as fast as I can so I can luxurate longer.
That said, I love a bath when I am not feeling well or tired. Problem is, most single person tubs are too small for me.
I like both… I take showers most of the time but when I have the time or just feel like it enough to make the time I take a bath… the whole nine yards as well scented candles… music… a book… my weirdest product name would be actually mine doesn’t have weird names… well Leap soap and bodywash maybe which come from The Body Shop
I shower most days, I do like a nice soaking bath with scented candles a glass of something cold to drink, and my Moody Blues cd playing somethimes though.
I use anti-bacterial soap. That’s it, I’m not into the fancy stuff and oils give me problems.
Shower…I don’t like sitting in my own scum. I take a bath now and again for relaxation. But afterwards I turn on the shower, wash my hair, and rinse off.
I’m a shower only gal. I haven’t taken a bath in 10 years probably! I like to have the water really hot too… so hot it turns my skin red! Shower’s are even better if my boyfriend joins me.
I may not take baths myself but I give baths practically every night, (for my kids of course) so my bathtub is always clean because I don’t want their little bottoms sitting on the soap scum! I’m forever cleaning my bathtub!
Showers in the morning, definitely. I would fall asleep in the tub if I took morning baths - don’t know how the hubby can do it.
Baths several times a week as I prefer shaving in the tub.
Oddly named bath products - I have so many I don’t know where to start. Hmm. I guess the oddest might be Flying Saucers Bath Foam, or Aqua Mirabilis Underwater Massage Bars, or Ceridwen’s Cauldron Bath Melts.
