I love the high temp (i.e. blue white) lights around the house. But in the morning it’s like being in a hospital. Count me in the lights-out crowd.
My wife and kids used to be like that until I wore them down with nagging about the electricity bill. They’d leave a light on after leaving a room or coming downstairs and then sit down - offering the excuse that they were going back there in a minute, so it’s best not to turn it off.
I came to realise that they regarded lights the TV, doors, etc in much the same way as heaters - if you turn off the light, it’ll get so dark in that room that when you turn it back on, it won’t get properly light again; If you turn off the TV, it will get to be so off that it’ll never turn back on again; If you close a door, it might get so closed that you’ll never open it again.
