I like to have some light. A dim glow is enough. I’m very visually oriented.

Lights on is good. I like lots of candles burning. First thing in the morning is nice. At this point, anything would be good.
Daytime lovin’ saves on the electric bills.
Light on, without a doubt. I like to look and see.

There’s something to be said for “mood lighting.” When I was still getting some, that constituted turning on the multicolored Christmas lights in my room and shutting the other lights off. Man, there’s nothing like furtive, squeaky dorm sex.
Busy day, aha? You’re a little late with the sex-oriented thread today.
Anyway, in my younger, flatter-stomached, perkier-breasted, unmarried, child-free days, lights-on was the only way to go. On the kitchen floor in full daylight was the best.
Now, it’s pretty much lights-off, because a)the cover of darkness is good for when the kids bust you, and b) turning the lights on runs the risk of revealing our worst fear–that either one (possibly both) of us is not awake.
I prefer candlelight. But it is a lot of fun in the dark. I’m not a big one for full lights on. Morning sun is great though.

my roommate and I have a running joke that the difference between getting laid and not getting laid is 2 candles and a lightswitch.
I think the candle light is a nice compromise between unflatteringly bright light and total darkness. You can still see what’s going on without feeling too exposed.
So do you usually tell them that they’re sleeping with the Unknown Comic?
