Some people are up at the crack of dawn; others are night owls. Which are you?
Further, when you were growing up, did your bedroom get the morning or evening sun?

I’m definitiely a night person. I have been since adolescence. Now that I don’t have to wake up before 9 AM, I never do. And I often have a nap in the evening for a couple of hours, and then stay awake until 2:30 or so.
I don’t remember if the sun came in my room or not; I haven’t been in there in 30 years.
“Nocturno” should have been my middle name.
Night person. My window faced SE from K-4th grade, and we moved in 5th grade, where it faced North. Why? Do you have a theory?
Night person. The sun came into my room in the evenings. I’m interested to see the responses of others.
Let me put it this way - I went to bed at 6:30 this morning.
And I switched bedrooms several times as a kid, so I was on both sides of the house. THAT should screw up your data! Mwahaha!
I’m more of a morning person, although I will sleep in if I get the chance. I hardly ever stay up later than ten PM.
My bedroom as a child faced west.
I am a very early morning person. My ideal day has me going to sleep around 4:30pm and getting up at midnight.
I’m with Smeghead in switching rooms growing up.
Night person. I sleep roughly from 4am-noon when left to my own devices. Other schedules make me grumpy.
Definitely a night owl.
Growing up, my bedroom got the morning sun. However, when I say “bedroom” i mean living room. It was a small apartment and I was nice enough to give the 2nd bedroom to my little sister, so I slept in the living room where, of course, everyone else woke me up early with their morning schedule.
Don’t think that has any correlation though, because I’ve always been a night owl.
I’m a morning person - I always have been.
As far as whether my room got the morning sun or evening…I’m pretty sure it was the evening sun because now when I get stuck sleeping on the sofa at my parents’ house during a visit, the sun usually wakes me up coming in the front door - and the living room faces the opposite direction of my old room.
Night. My bedroom window in both houses faced north.
My windows now face east and north. Getting up is easier than it used to be, but I still hate it.
Very, very morning.
Up at 4:20 AM. Bed before 9.
Morning. Up by 5am, in the gym by 6am. On with my day.
I’m usually in bed by 10pm.
I relax the schedule on weekends by an hour or two.
Don’t get off work until midnight, so night person. Actually pretty much always was.
My window faced East, but we had so many trees behind us, I never got any direct sunlight.
I’m a moring person as far as as my peak times for making any kind of sense. I usually get up at about 6 and go to bed about 11 or 12. But in the evenings I am pretty worthless. I just read or watch a movie after about 8 pm. Sometimes I get interested in something and don’t go to bed til later and then I use the snooze in the morning but I don’t feel like I need to stay in bed an extra hour or anything. If I am in bed on time I usually will wake up before the alarm and I feel like getting up.
When I was a kid my bedroom faced Southwest.
I always stayed up late and slept in as much as I could as a teen but it was mostly because I felt like going to bed was going to be the end of all my fun. I was very depressed then and I think it was bad for me to stretch out the tired part of my day that way. I am just happier in the morning so I am better off enjoying the first part of my days and then knowing when to call it a day.
I hate mornings. Hate them with a passion.
Morning person. I get up at 4:45 for work, and on weekends, I rarely sleep past 7AM. I love watching the day being born, and once the sun sets, I’m ready to crash. If I’m still awake at 10PM, it’s a rarity.
Lemme put it this way: morning people need to be keelhauled and made to drink coffee until they explode.
That is all.
Kind of in the middle, and incapable of being too flexible with it. Generally I am up at about 8 AM (if I have a choice) and am in bed by 11 and asleep by 12. I prefer getting up early to staying up late because if I stay up really late I have trouble getting to sleep, but I wouldn’t classify myself as a morning person.
I had a bunch of bedrooms as a kid and I’m sure I’ve had windows in every direction.
