Did you just discover XM Radio Online? I’ve been using it for a while to listen to O&A and Ron & Fez when I’m at school and can’t listen to my SkyFi2.
It’s handy, but I wish they could carry the syndicated channels.
Sirius does this too.
It’s gonna take some of your bandwith (which may be limited depending on your Internet connection) and some of your computer’s CPU/memory, and if you reboot your computer no music during that time. Otherwise if you can’t have an XM receiver at your desk, it could be handy.
It’s okay, but I find it gets some network congestion at annoying points of the day. For example, it tends to skip something fierce around 11ish at night when I usually use the radio to fall asleep.
Jeez, are YOU behind the times. I’ve been on this for ages.
In using the online version I found that I would get disconnected every so often because of “inactivity” which was very annoying. I was just listening to O&A’s channel all day so why did I need to do anything after logging on? So I looked around and found this app which has more features and will keep you logged on all the time http://www.myxamp.com/.
Bumping this this just to note that I gave this program a shot last night and it is very cool.
