Are you bothered that most American police unions will endorse Republicans swiftly?

I have read the arguments, but I think that there is a bigger rift with the police and communities, and the police unions are VERY right wing right now.

That is what I am saying.

I am saying that police unions will be VERY right wing from now on. They feel the Democratic Party is anti-police.

What if there are no Republican areas in the city? Are the police just not going to show up for work at all?

Are you sure you read the cite I provided? It shows that the police is demonstrably not “VERY right wing”. It shows that it’s quite evenly distributed, both with respect to support from Police Unions and individual LEOs.

Using CAPS for emphasis does not make for an informed or more convincing argument.

It is quite possible that:

  1. Policemen care about other issues and not purely law enforcement.

  2. People vote for a different candidate from the one suggested by their union or groups

  3. People might look at local and national candidates differently.

  4. The fact one person or spokesperson gives an opinion to the media does not mean all individuals necessarily agree.

  5. Police may have reason to disagree with media accusations (rightfully, or not) or suggestions that they be more aggressive and not provide general protection. Many police take doing a good job seriously.

  6. I’ve seen comparisons between medical specialists; most US urologists are republican; most US paediatricians are Democrat. Who cares? I don’t worry about right leaning individuals. I believe in democracy; cops have the right to vote too. I do worry about far right policemen, apparently a big issue in some European countries.

I don’t believe them just because THEY said it. I believe them because what they say agrees with what both independent and professional journalists have shown, and there’s fucking pictures and reports of Proud Boys harassing female reporters while the police ignored it.

On the other hand, you’re happily reguritating and defending the words of a man that called BLM protesters “a pack of rabid animals” and the movement as a whole “a racist hate group determined to instigate violence.”

who is that? cite? Link?

Fox news? It is to laugh.

Well, thanks again for telling all that there are now more reasons to reform and target specific departments for defunding.

You know, your say so’s are like Fry in Futurama finding that he was not in a post apocalyptic New New York but in Future LA.

Fry : But everyone is driving around in cars shooting at each other.
Bender : That’s L.A. for you.
Fry : But the air is green and there’s no sign of civilization whatsoever.
Bender : [to the others] He just won’t stop with the social commentary.

So, yeah, you won’t stop with the social commentary about police misbehavior either. Please continue governor.

That’s FOP President John McNesby, the guy YOU quoted. Do you not even read the things you cite?

That is not what I cited, in fact i didnt cite anything. I quoted his link

And “I never referred to black people as animals. I referred to the group of small individuals who protested outside that officer’s house as rabid animals. They were chanting and screaming things regarding his wife and kids. I don’t even know if they were black, white, Asian,” McNesby told the magazine."

People have no business at all protesting outside a persons private residence. That was totally wrong. Calling them names like " rabid animals" isnt the right thing to do either, but those potestors went way over the line. OK, “rabid animals” isnt a good term, but I would go for assholes.

Good to see you agree with me. It was never stated that he called all black people animals.

Discouraging that you feel the need to limits First Amendment rights far more than those for the Second, however.

In your cite (actual cite, my apologies for accusing your quote of being a cite), there are multiple pictures, some showing Proud Boys happily flying their flag outside, where it’s obvious to literally anyone with eyes (thus not Philly PD), they’re around. One is even supposedly taken inside. To take McNesby at his word would require ignoring visual evidence to the contrary.
