Are you done shoveling/blowing snow for the winter?

heh. I feel for you. It hasn’t snowed here for a couple of days. @Tride You’re in Telluride?

I’ve toyed with paving drive. I donno. But agree, plow truck turns into an earth mover when ground is not frozen. A task every summer is to pull the gravel back to the drive and spread it around a bit. I’ve a tractor for that tough, so not a big job.

It’s really hard on the truck and plow though.

We’re in Bozeman now after 25 years at 10,000’. The snow is melting fast, at any rate. We just hunkered down and didn’t plow.

Right. Someone here is from Telluride.

We are 32 years at 11.2. Life at altitude is interesting. Snow is melting though, and fast. We are the same this time of year, re: hunker down. It will melt.

We are chomping at the bit to get deck time in. It’s close.

You are at higher latitude which makes a big difference.

Our dogs have about 3k sq. ft. of fenced yard. Can’t really pick up poop when ya get a few inches of snow nearly every day. So… That’s a ‘springtime’ task for my wife and I. Best way is to get on Kubota, slowly maneuver around yard while poop is thrown in bucket. Build a nice big fire and burn dog poop. It’s a tradition I suppose.

And I have a book to recommend Up at Altitude

It’s mostly stories of the trials and tribulations. But also the good parts of the life at altitude.

That was us–my wife is still GIS director down there. It’s a harsh albeit beautiful environment. I’ll check the book out…
