Are you going to go to George W's book signing?

I don’t go to book signings for authors I do like. I’m just not one of those “standing in line” people.

ETA: Bruce Campbell has a book? Oh holy god. Must hit up Amazon right now.

“If Chins Could Kill, Confessions of a ‘B’ Movie Actor”. Fairly entertaining! I was all tongue-tied and such when I had him sign it.

I’d go.

But I love the Ghost Train at Luna Park. Although that is only make believe creepiness.

You forgot the “I hate Dubya so much you couldn’t get me into the same room with him if you put a gun to my head” choice.

That’s another thing. I actually did once go to a David Sedaris reading/signing (that was half an hour away) and although I enjoyed the reading very much, when it shifted into signing time, I just left. Not really interested in standing in line, don’t much see the point in having a signed book.

I chose yes just because it seems like all your choices have to do with whether I like the guy, which has no bearing on whether I would go.

But there are plenty of other reasons I might not attend. Not the least is that book signings like this never happen anywhere near me. So yeah, if I were answering your title, I’d say No.

I would be repulsed by his presence for starting an unnecessary war and for approving the use of torture. I don’t think one has to be liberal to find those things repulsive. So no, I will not go near him.

I consider him a contemptible, vile, incompetent, overprivileged parasite whom I don’t want to even look at much less accept a signed book from. I wouldn’t go if you paid me. He belongs in a prison cell not signing books as far as I’m concerned.

Zombie George Washington is doing a book signing? i didn’t realize he was still writing… sign me up!

I like how this thread deteriorated into who can use the most adjectives to describe their contempt for George W. Bush in a single post. Nice.

Considering that how they feel about the man is an obvious reason for why someone would want to see him or not, I don’t see how that’s a “degeneration”.

I had to suffer through the little pissant as my governor. Then he was installed into the Presidency & we know how well* that* went. No, no way. Never.

However, I wouldn’t reprimand you for going. I can understand book collecting & a wish for a “complete” collection.
