Are you graduating? Then get in here and celebrate!

I’ve gotta post this; I saw a smallish SUV in a parking lot yesterday. It had lettering all over every window attesting to its owner’s acquisition of a MBA, summa cum laude 3.97 GPA. I thought it was cute and all.

I’m graduating! Well, I finished Wednesday and I’m waiting on the paper to come in the mail. We’re skipping graduation to head off to a theme park tomorrow. I have a BA in English now, which is rather useless in this area (or most), but I’m still considering grad school for Library Science.

Woo Hoo! Graduation!

  Holy Mary, Mother of Og, my husband just turned in his dissertation!

**Ten **frakking years in the writing. I think it’s 10. I stopped counting when it started to hurt too much. Submitted, defended, amended, accepted and now submitted to the graduate school. (With, of course, a typo on the title page. Think anyone will notice “Illionois”? :smack: )

He gets hooded (what a strange term) in June, on his 38th birthday. I’m so gonna teach our 3 year old to call him “Dr. Daddy”.

Unless something disastrous happens, I should be receiving my teaching certificate this summer. I just passed my portfolio (exemplary on all 11 standards), and will be receiving my student teaching grades within the next week. I’ve submitted my first two applications, and hopefully will have a job within a month or so.

Graduating this Monday with a DVM (cum laude pending grades this semester).

Going to start a residency in July (because I want to be punished and remain small grasshoper/student the rest of my life).

Graduating June 16th; BA in International Relations and minor in Japanese. Finished my thesis, finished my comprehensive exams, just have to pass my classes now and it’s all set.
No clue what I’m going to do for a job yet. Probably something menial until I can apply for an internship to get my teaching credentails next May, if they’ll accept me, we’ll see…

I knew that I needed a break from college before going on to get my masters and doctorates. I feel so burned out, I wanted a taste of the real world instead of schooling all the way through. I’m thinking of going into ESL or Applied linguistics.

Until then, minimum wage jobs ahoy! :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ll be graduating June 12, with my LL.B. Yep, I made it through law school!

Still have to find an articling position, but that will come. Still, I made it–and many thanks go to the legal and other Dopers who offered advice and support through my journey. I made it, folks!

Graduation was yesterday.

Got gipped, my high school was very big so we had our ceremony at a local university…which I now attend…so both graduations in same room! Boo! But i sat by some fun girls and we cracked jokes quietly the whole time to stave off the boredom.

Party this Saturday. Then couple weeks off and summer school and GRE studying begins - the start of my grad school prep for the next year.

Congratulations everybody. I should be graduating sometime soon, MPhil in Political Science. I applied for a PhD position in Berlin, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed. Going to Berlin would be REALLY COOL.

Got my BGS - Bachelor of General Studies (focus areas were any three of Chemistry, Biology, Spanish and German, I had enough hours for any of them, but don’t know what’s ultimately going on my diploma).

BS in Administration. summa cum laude.

Just had to throw that last part in.

Convocation is this Thursday evening: I will be receiving an M.A. in English (my program was Professional Writing & Editing). I’m skipping the big university graduation on Saturday, because the convocation ceremony – with just the grad students from my college (Humanities and Social Sciences), and where my name will actually get called – will be enough.

Oh, and my grad GPA is 3.8.
