Palin has ben a governer, and quite a succesful one. You oprobably didn’t notice because you were too busy sneering at her for not being an East Coast Kennedy, or having the wrong accent. She was perfectly fine as a Vice President who might become President some day. Your side pretended that Sen. McCain was going to keel over dead instantly and Palin would have been kicked upwards in order to fundamentally pretend she was somehow less competent than Obama.

This sounds as if you do not realize that a president may die, or resign, or be impeached, and hence a VP needs to ready to president from day one. Especially the VP of a president who would have been the oldest elected president in history.
