Are you seeing election bumper stickers in your area?

My husband commented that he hasn’t seen any bumper stickers for any of the presidential (or any other) candidates, and when he mentioned that, I started looking for myself. There are Trump signs in a few yards, but in my commute to and from work, as well as when we run errands or go out for dinner, we’ve been looking, and no one has bumper stickers.

We have one: “Giant Meteor 2016 -Just end it already!”

I know during the last 2 presidential elections, there were stickers all over the place for both main candidates. But just a few months out, and there are none here. Is it because Maryland is accepted to be in the Democrats’ column, so why bother?

What about where you live?

I’ve seen a few Hillary stickers, but not many. None at all for Trump.

No yard signs either.

A couple of Clinton bumper stickers. No Trumps. This is a heavily red area. The Trump campaign just isn’t into distributing stuff, except for hats.

Yard signs are considered passé for national elections. The campaigns don’t think they’re worth the money.

Despite me being in heavily Democratic Broward county, I see a lot more Trump than Hillary bumper stickers. Any local drive over about 5 miles will present at least 1, maybe 2 Trump stickers. You’d probably have to spend an hour on the road to see a Hillary sticker.

About 75% of Trump stickers are on jacked-up pickup trucks. As a D myself I find that sort of reassuring, and sort of not.

I’m not sure what the difference in sticker count means. Do folks in the local political minority tend to put stickers on at a higher or lower rate than folks in the majority? Does it depend on whether the political minority is feeling more persecuted vs. just ignored?

I used to live in a heavily Republican county in the Midwest. Democrats there didn’t / don’t feel so much persecuted as simply ignored / nonexistent. So very few bothered to apply stickers. Meanwhile the Rs were such the overwhelming majority that very few of them bothered with stickers either; they already knew that 98% of their neighbors voted the same way they did. But boy did they get partisan about the primaries!!!

I haven’t seen any signs or stickers for anything. My dad still has his “I believe Anita” bumper sticker.

I saw a full sized pickup truck with a Hillary For Jail and an I’ll Keep My Guns And My Money, You Keep The Change bumper stickers. Indiana plates. This guy pulled out in front of me in a 25mph zone, and proceeded to putz along at possibly 15mph.
I was already putzing along in accordance with the law, cruise set at 25, and had to hit the brakes, then try a balancing act between keeping my wheels rolling at all, and not exceeding 20mph or so, which would have resulted in a slo-mo rear ending of Mr. Murica.

(ETA I have also seen a (???) Women For Trump sticker on a car exiting the highway.)

Around these parts - the same county LSLGuy is talking about if I understand the meaning of his username - I usually only see the anti- bumper stickers, like Hillary for Prison, NObama, stuff like that. I occasionally want to tell these folks that people have to read the bumper sticker more closely than highway speeds will allow to realize they’re against the candidate in question, but I suspect it would not do any good.

I haven’t seen any signs/bumper stickers for the current election lately, either. During the primary season, the only signs I saw were for our local Board of Education election. That, around here, is a sensitive topic.

I haven’t seen any. Then again, it might possibly relate to the fact I live in Alberta.

Now that you mention it, no I haven’t.

No signs either.

I think it’s because a lot of people are like I am and don’t like either one of them.

I live in the ultra-liberal Bay Area, and I’ve seen a few Trump bumper stickers, but none for Hillary. Most of the bumper stickers you see around here are Obama from last time around.

Nothing for the presidential election. A few for the gubernatorial and congressional races.

I’ve seen one Marco Rubio sticker, one Ben Carson (no, really!), and a few Trump. Then again, I’m in Connecticut, so really the election doesn’t exist for us.

I think I’ve seen more “Giant Meteor 2016 - Just end it already” bumper stickers than actual candidate stickers.

I can’t say as I’ve seen a single bumper sticker or yard sign for the current election, but I did pass a kiosk today, selling those sorts of Trump-related items (Houston outer suburb). So maybe now I will.

My husband and I have Hillary stickers on our cars, and we’ve seen others too. And we sometimes have a Hillary yard sign, but they keep getting stolen. There’s still a Bernie sign down the street. Haven’t seen anything for Trump.

I saw a Ben Carson sticker today! Who knows, maybe he still a chance. Overall, I see a fair amount of Hillary stickers. It’s probably just now getting to the point where a Hillary sticker is more common than a Bernie sticker. Every once in a while I’ll see a “Hillary for prison” sticker, and even less often than that I’ll see one for Trump.

None and no yard signs much either except for a couple faded Trump ones left over from the primaries. Katie McGinty against Pat Toomey it the hot race around here getting the more visible markers.

Now ------- around motorcycle events this t-shirt is getting way popular and you are seeing a ton of them. Not really Trump supporters; just because it is the general fad for bikers right now.

I’m seeing a lot of Obama and Wellstone stickers here in St. Paul.

I’ve mostly seen Bernie stickers in my part of Los Angeles. However, I don’t work anymore so I’m not spending tons of time on the roads, I may not be exposed to the full variety of political bumper stickers out there.
