Are you taller than your gender equal parent?

At 6’0", I am about 4" taller than my father (at his tallest, he has shrunk about 2" in his old age, he is 95)

My sister is roughly the same height as our mother (5’4").

I suspect a major reason for children exceeding their parents in height relates to better diet…

I’m reminded of the character in a Travis McGee novel who hoped to play professional football, but was “obsoleted by giant strides in nutrition”.

Female. My mom was almost 5’11" and dad was somewhere under my 5’6". He was also 18 years her senior. They were quite an odd pair, especially when she wore heels,!

Taller
Dad 1.73
Me 1.83
Brother 1.86

Mom 1.65
#1 Sister 1.57
#2 Sister 1.67
#3 Sister 1.56

I’m 5’9" while my father was 5’10"

However, he shrank and by the time he died, I was 2" taller than he. I’m just about the age now when he started to shrink, so I’m not gloating.

My mother was 5’2" (about normal for her family), my father at 6’1" was the shortest man in his family.
I’m 5’3".

My son’s father was 5’2", his mother under 5 foot and his father about 5’7".
My son is 5’9".

I’m just over 5’6".
Mom was about 5’5" (before shrinking).
My father was about 6’, but now he’s closer to my height.
My two sisters are taller than I, about 5’8" and 5’10", I’d say.

I’m 5’11’’, my father was 5’9’’ the last time I remember.

Male, 6’1". I put same height but I might be slightly taller. Not by more than an inch though.
