What is the actual name of the base?
Groom Lake AFB?
(The term Area 51 merely refers to an old nuclear testing gridmap)

I have a book which refers to it as Groom Lake AFB, and nicknamed Dreamland
fwiw
Names which have been used for the base (according to Wikipedia), in addition to the already mentioned Dreamland include Paradise Ranch, Home Base, Watertown Strip, Groom Lake, and Homey Airport. The airbase is given the ICAO airport identifier code of KXTA and listed as “Homey Airport” in aviation GPS databases.
If you ask the Air Force, they’ll just tell you that it’s classified and that it’s part of the Nellis Range Complex. When President Clinton exempted the facility from environmental disclosure laws, it was referred to simply as “The Air Force’s Operating Location Near Groom Lake, Nevada”.
I’ve seen a sign that said, “Nellis Bombing and Gunnery Range.” But that might be just a part of the site. If I try to remember anything else, THEY beam negative waves into my brain.
