Is anyone going? I might be in the SF Bay Area around the right time so I’m going to try to get tickets for the Shoreline show. I think it will be amazing. Bowie and Moby in one show? Awesome. I’ve heard the Avalanches djs will be there, too so I’d love to check that out.

I’ll be at the one in Irvine. Can’t wait, Area:One was fantastic.
What are you looking forward to the most for the Irvine show? Personally, I can’t wait for Bowie and Bustah Rhymes. I think they are going to be fantastic. And I’m also really looking forward to seeing the Avalanches. I became a big fan of theirs after hearing Frontier Psychiatrist. Were they are Area:One?
Most looking forward to Moby. He just kicked ass last year. Also looking forward to the Avalanches (they weren’t there last year), Digweed & DJ Dan.
Moby as a performance makes me cringe. I’ve seen him a few times, and I just get embarassed for him. It’s just the way he dances around the stage and “plays” instruments. Especially when he’s not doing the vocals on the song – he just doesn’t have much to do, and he reacts badly to that. Am I alone in this?
What makes you think Moby isn’t actually playing his instruments?
It’s not that I don’t think he’s playing the instruments, it’s just that he doesn’t play them much. For instance, he may have a guitar in his hands, but the guitar will be only a minor part of the song. So he just has to strum it every once in a while to “play” it. Which gives him a lot of free time to wander aimlessly around the stage, hit a few keys on the synthesizer, etc.
