Yeah, picking at them is a bad thing to do. Once, I picked at a pimple on my chin, and it turned into a big, ugly, yellow, oozing, scab. It lasted for seversl weeks, (because I picked at that too). The scab looked worse than the pimple.
I know, I know…I shouldn’t pick it. I will try to excercise some mercy.

I’m 34 years old, and I still get them en masse. Not just one or two, every few months, around PMS time. Nooooo. I can practically set my watch to when I’ll be ravaged by the Zit Fairy. Wench. One of these days, I’m going to catch her and give her a great whopping Clearasil enema. Pop her little head off, it will.

I definitely second the ice idea. Does absolute wonders when EPoD comes visiting. I’ve heard that using eyedrops reduces the redness too.

Damn, Where was this thread 3 days ago when I needed it? I only get one pimple, on my right cheek below my eye, towards the bottom of my nose. Darn thing comes around every 4-5 months, and grows to the size of a peach before finally leaving, only to haunt me again in the future. Anyway, I have been trying to work up the courage to ask out my hair stylist, and I thought she was interested. Knew I had an appointment coming up on Wed. Thought I would make my move. Instead, Harvey the the pimple from Hell decides he wants to see her, and makes his grand entrance. I had to sit in the chair STARING AT MYSELF IN THE MIRROR while she cut my hair. Humiliation.
Guess I will just have to wait until next month…sigh

while you’re at it, would you kick her little be-winged ass for me, too? i never had complexion problems as a teenager, but i am in the same boat as you. same age, same time of the month, same everything. it was worse when i was on depo-provera, and started getting huge, cystic acne at all times of the month.
as for the OP- i’ve found that a warm compress will help a lot. and if it’s the kind of zit where it’s big, red and hurts, but doesn’t actually seem to have a “head” on it, put a band-aid over it, completely covering it, over night, and it will either disappear or develop a head. also, when i get a really bad one, i put some antibiotic ointment on it. i read somewhere that zits are actually caused by bacteria on the skin, and that neosporin or a triple antibiotic ointment will help, and it really does seem to clear them up faster.
Do what I do. Confront the Evil Pimple of Death with the Mighty needle of Justice and Peace.
Thanks for the wonderful suggestions. I have now assailed EPoD with the MNoJP, and covered it with Neosporin. This thing better get its measley butt off of my face soon.
