I haven’t read the thread, since I don’t really care about Castro. He’s best forgotten, except insofar as law enforcement can learn from his crime.
That said, the news is on. The reporter said ‘Castro only served one month of his life sentence.’ Actually, I’d say he did live the rest of his life in prison.
Many of them do exactly that. They’re called “suicides.”
In addition to John Donne, I worry that Ariel Castro will become a martyr. There were already people saying feminism is to blame for his crimes; now the’ll had him to feminism’s body count.

I’m not crazy about all brands of feminism, but you’d have to be an anti-feminist AND a complete idiot to adopt Ariel Castro as a martyr, blaming his death on feminism. Anyone who buys into THAT ideology will get nothing but belittlement, and not just from feminists, from generally sane people as well.
