“Is it about Ann?”
“Then of course I’ll like it!”
She was made in a cup. Like soup.
It makes sense, because we all know Tobias is gay.
I’ve now watched the premiere about four times, and every time GOB says, “I feel like that kid, who found the severed hand” I bust out laughing.
I’m so happy this show is back.
We just watched the entire first season over the last 2 days. My god, why wasn’t I watching this all along? I love the show. A friend of ours dropped by halfway through and now he’s a convert too. Hooray!
If you thought that was funny, wait until you see season 2. So much greatness you haven’t seen yet…
Wasn’t Steve Holt given a picture of Gob at the end of season 2? I recall him being handed a photo, there was a Final Countdown musical cue, and Steve said something like, “Is that what’s going to happen to my hair?”
Steve might not be the brightest guy, but you think he’d recognize his dad.
Yeah, I wondered about that too. Perhaps it’s because GOB wasn’t wearing a cape and Steve is pretty dim.
It was a fun “On the next Arrested Develoment” scene. Steve wondered about who his father was, whether he was a Senator, or a doctor… and the counselor tells him ‘In that case, I have some bad news’ and gives him the photo of GOB.
The “On the next” segments are rarely part of the (I hate to use this word) continuity of the show, I guess.
I’m not sure that’s true. They’re usually ignored, but I can’t think of another time when they’ve been directly contradicted in a later episode.
True. And sometimes they are actually incorporated into future episodes (George Sr. in the Blue Man Group was in the season finale’s last year, I think).
But sometimes, they are simply absurd and for the purpose of the joke.
I wouldn’t put much stock in them.
Of course, Steve Holt is so dumb that it may well have happened…
Right, and that’s usually how I treat them. They did start as a joke. Once in a while they impact future episodes, like the Blue Man Group thing or Buster losing his hand, but usually you can assume they happened, but that it wouldn’t matter either way. I can’t think of another time they’ve obviously contradicted one, though.
