Arrested Development 10/3

The last line of the commercial…“No habla espanol.” Funny funny.

Yeah, I picked up the same vibe. WIth Dave Thomas, it doesn’t seem like she’s “special”. She seems like someone of normal intelligence, with a different accent. And Dave had to remind her to take her hat… possibly because it makes her more ‘special’ looking and that’s her cover.

No, no, the “hat” is bugged! That’s why she points it at Michael when she asks him something.

On this show?! Without a direct narration explaining that “she was in fact a spy”?
No way. I think they are just playing up the British espionage angle as a joke. Just because they zoom in on the hat means nothing… unless of course the hat is a visual pun for an upcoming punchline.

Ok what would that be I wonder. Hat… head… chappeaux… hmmmm?

Here he is.

I think it’s pretty clear that even if Rita is a special agent, she’s really a “special” special agent, for the reasons already mentioned plus a few other clues and hints so quick or minute that most non-Twoppers (or Tivo-ers) won’t have noticed them. Maybe it’s time to look into some analrapy…

I love the “Shouts and Murders,” which matches The New Yorker’s “Shouts and Murmurs” column down to the typeface.

Not exactly the same thing, but Bob Loblaw is currently the name of my fantasy football team.

Having missed last week’s ep (grrrrr), anyone want to give me a quick plot synopsis of what happened last week so I can catch up. The anecdotes in this thread have helped a little, but a more linear replay would be helpful…

There’s almost 20 pages of posts, but check out TWOP .

Thanks, but since TWOP doesn’t do comedies, I’m essentially looking at another thread just like this one: commenting on the episode without an official, formal recap.

Looks like I’ve got a while 'til the next one (baseball and all), so if anyone’s so inclined to oblige, I’d be most appreciative…
