"Arrested Development-- **2-Hour Season Finale**"

Although it appears that they found the seal.

So, if the show does get picked up by Showtime, does anyone think that they resolve the ‘Lindsey is adopted’ story? For that matter, does Buster defeat the loose seal, or does it bite off something else of his?

Can you imagine Lucille in Orange County prison?

What, running the place and making everyone her bitch?

OC Prison?

Don’t say it!

I was expecting : “Don’t call it that.”

NO TOUCHING!

Speaking of which, tdn, would you please stop calling yourself “Uncle T-bag?”

Even though nobody asked me to, I went ahead and made my own version of “GOB’s Program.”

Here’s the output:

Strike that. Reverse it:
PENUS.

Wouldn’t it be funny if she were put up for adoption by a single mother who had been having an affair with George Sr? Or better yet, OSCAR!

“Read the Patriot Act: Anything said in a mock trial or a daytime courtroom show can be used in any real criminal proceeding or prime time procedural show subject to the interpretation of the preceding judge or executive producer.”

Which may explain why John Munch was in on the effort… I wonder if George Michael and Maebe will be in character on Veronica Mars. While it is not quite a prime time procedural show, it does take place in SoCal somewhere, and it does have a legal theme. Perhaps they will be looking for Lindsey birth mom? Or something else to investigate?

My favorite subtle moment was Tobias gnawing on Lindsey’s shoulder in a disappointing attempt at “heterosexual intercourse.”

I’m rewatching the finale. What gives Franklin away as “Frank the Pimp” to Michael.

“She’s a lady of the evening. She turns illusions for money – no, tricks.”

Which references the pilot. GOB is preparing to show the Aztec Tomb to his father, who calls it a trick, and GOB answers
“Illusion, dad. Tricks are what whores turn for money… (looks at crowd of children) …or cocaine.” Which is among the best lines of the series.

Slight clarification: GOB was talking to Michael about the Aztec Tomb, and the line that aired on FOX was “Tricks are what a whore does for money…or candy!”

The cocaine line was only on the uncut version on the DVD, AFAIK.

Out of curiosity, I looked up the first AD thread, way back on 2/9/04. We were well into the first season before someone decided to start a thread about it. (Probably-unnecessary disclaimer: Don’t post in that thread!)

Happy

Okay, the news item says it is a rumor, but here it is. BAD NEWS

Despite initial rumors that ABC and Showtime were considering adopting the show, further rumors have stated that the series’ creator Mitchell Hurwitz could not get a satisfactory deal, thus opting to end the show.

Dated Feb. 10, 2006.

Commence crying. :frowning:

Nice episodes, I saw most of them but have them taped and will watch them this week…but

…no Gene Parmesan!!! (As far as we can tell)

Rumor vs rumor. I’ll cry later.

Who’d like a banger in the mouth?

Kristin from E! handicapped it at 80% chance that was the final episode.

I do not believe they will be in character. I think they’re playing college kids who give Veronica a tour of the college she’s thinking about attending.

That scene had me laughing and feeling bad at the same time. Wasn’t this the same Uncle who kept putting his arms around George Micehael while singing hymns?

EGAD!!

If it is over fine… that was the best way for it to go out. And the two hours was teh best thing fox could have done for teh show’s fans.
