"Arrested Development-- **2-Hour Season Finale**"

Anybody know when this episode is going to air? I’ve never watched Veronica Mars but will definitely check out this one.

I do love this show.

Can anybody translate that?
Also, is the counter stuck at 42? Could that be a subtle nod to Douglas Adams?

I’m guessing it’s an exact translation of www.imoscar.com. Right down to the Wee Britain and Bluth Company ads.

That is friggin hilarious!

Wow. I checked for Imnoscar.com Monday and got nothing. Glad they fixed that.

Having had a few days to reflect, if Hurwitz and Showtime can’t work it out, I really do think I’ll be okay. The wait for the Season 3DVDs, assuming they come out in the fall as the first two seasons did, will be a pain.

Beautiful programming.

Two things about the finale:

  1. Notice the food on the table was from a “nearby restaurant”. It’s the Skip Church’s Bistro.

  2. Was there any reason Michael looked at the camera for his last line on the boat with George Michael?

Was probably checking to see if they were done filming this damn documentary already.

That reminded me of his employment at Swallows during the season premiere; there was a line about amyls in there too. (I think he offers Michael an amyl or a sandwich.) I still think that scene was one of the show’s best. A family restaurant by day, an anything-goes sex party at night…

Could it have had anything to do with his last line? I don’t remember what he said.

“Hey, has that guy with the camera always been there?!”

Not as bad as I expected, but still pretty bad. The 8pm episode was the lowest-rated show of the four major networks for the week. Only UPN, WB, Univision and Telemundo had lesser-watched shows.

If something doesn’t happen, they’re gonna get canceled.

Still, we beat Cristina on lunes!

Just a note: The latest entry on imoscar.com is #42.

Not really. It’s a joke – Oscar (and No Scar) have posted 42 journal entries, so they’ve obviously been on their website 42 times. Looking at the counter, it’s clear that no one else has ever visited it.

Of course, the choice of 42 rather than 37 or 51 for the number of journal entries may have been influenced by Hitchhikers’.

“Let’s say we give them no choice but to keep themselves altogether for a while”.

Seems a little odd to choose this line to finally address the camera. My guess is there’s no meaning behind it, other than having one of the main characters acknowledge the crew (someone other than Judge Ping, of course).

Another thing that’s driving me mad, how exactly do you spell “one day” in korean? My google skills have proven inadequate for this most important search.

It’s part of the parallelism of the episode. The opening of the show says that Michael has no choice but to keep the family together; he’s now saying they have to do it themselves.

A nice little finale line, in that context.

I was just watching this again today. I don’t think Michael’s looking at the camera for the last line. He’s looking out the front of the boat, slightly to our left.
