He could have just said “filling my seat” or “filling my hole” and the entendre would have been intact.
It’s a clever show, but they should continue to assume they have a clever audience and not make jokes that are too obvious.

Mistimed jokes happen. Some of the obvious jokes still manage to be damned clever. I loved when Michael and GOB had the fight at the new model home, using a giant foam rock and the ceremonial scissors, only to have it covered by the (news)paper. It was someone here who pointed that out, and I still think that was great.
And you’re surprised that Tobias would say something so bizarre? Remember the episode where Michael suggests that he taperecord what he says and listen to it later? He had some definite
GAH!!! I hit reply too soon!
Anyway, I was going to say that the “seat hole” line isn’t any weirder than some of his lines from previous episodes.
My favorite is when Tobias painted himself blue for the Blue Man Group and says, “I blue myself.”
Michael replies with something like, “There has got to be a better way to say that.”
Just saw it last night. Why oh why has this not been renewed yet?
Franklin’s british accent had to be the highlight, but this was just full of good stuff. The kiss was both gross and really sweet. (And they may not be biological cousins.) And then “Dad’ll be crushed!” If there is a third season (knock wood), that is going to make for some interesting dramatic possibilities.
One funny bit that hasn’t been mentioned – Kitty laying Lindsey out with one punch. Then the misdirect with Tobias leaning over her worriedly – “I fought for you!” “Yeah, Kitty and I are going to Vegas.”

The season finale requires multiple viewings because the first couple viewings are usually marred by groaning “Oh my God” as Gob sings yet another awful song. Did Franklin really sing “I’ve got childrenz all over town”? BTW, he had his own microphone. Hee!
I’m all for cousin loving so the kiss was perfectly acceptable as well as the sinking into the depths of hell. How about Michael Cera’s excellent Bateman-esque delivery when he was talking about “Les Cousins Dangereux”? Absolutely fantastic.
Gob made the entire episode. “Look at us we’re crying like little girls”, “I didn’t say he was totally into it!” or sobbing “That’s the exact kind of joke he would have loved!”
One other thing – anyone else notice all the racial harmony at the courthouse? We’d already seen the integrated cop couple, of course, but there was also a white and black couple George Sr. ran past and a pair of guys (one white and one black) walked past the family a little earlier. This was filmed in Los Angeles – had to be intentional.

Heh, I don’t think the show is very integrated. The Bluth Corporation seems to employ a giant team of white people. George met a lot of black people in jail, though. And all the Latino people on the show are either maids or soap opera stars.
The full song (as we heard it):
“It’s not easy being white”
“It’s not easy being brown”
“There’s pressure to be bright!”
“I’ve got kids all over town!”
I really, really hope there’s a third season – I don’t think I can go my whole life without more Franklin!
–Cliffy
That’s the kind of compliment Franklin would have liked.
Oh, there’ll be a third season all right.
Or there’ll be hell to pay.
Wow, thanks. I never knew that.
:smack:
Is there a stereotype that Latinos are all on soap operas?
