Dude, I’m in Melbourne at the moment, there’s not a lot of misdirected anger as far as I can tell. Please don’t sit there on the other side of the world and try and tell us what we should or shouldn’t be angry about, and don’t make assumptions based on selected media reports. Thank you.
Fair dinkum, cobber.
;).
I know I’m a cynical swine at times, but I had no intention of discrediting the positive Aussie reactions to this tragedy.
Ah there’s nothing wrong with some healthy cynicism, it just struck a nerve at the time. I’m not even all that close to it, although a work friend had to evacuate his house and family as the fire came within 2km before a wind-change sent it in another direction (toward Kinglake unfortunately,) but I’m really on the outside looking in. Still it’s pretty sober around here.
Of course not. :dubious:
Meaning?
Here’s my posts prior to this page
Show me where I am having a go at the Aussies, besides that cynical one-liner above, which wasn’t best judged by myself and that I immediately held up my hand for?
National Day of Mourning
I don’t give the Bappos much chance.
Baptists – May They Rot in Hell.
I’m sure that the** Westboro Baptist folks** surely will rot in hell.
There are however some non inhumanly psycotic Baptists about who are even doing stuff to help fire victims here in Oz.
Although that full immersion shit is right out under Stage 3a Water Restrictions. Ya wanna wash away “sins”, fine, but you’re looking at a puddle filled before 8am on Saturday or Tuesday for an even-numbered big-arsed font.
This describes about 99.99% of Baptists. WBC calls themsleves Baptist; they are not. They’re agents of Satan.
