Art Carney has died.

There will never be another like him.

I’m trying to think of the name of my very favorite work that he did. I think it was Harry and Tonto.

What a genius!

Hey,hey,hey,Ralphie boy.Move over in Bismarck,N.D.

The original subterrainian sanitation engineer, precursor to all the "associates"titles today.

Salutes to Francois Pierre DelaBrioski.

The last one to demonstrate Going in Style . . .

“Address the ball.”

“Hello ball!”

Wow that is sad - a true pioneer of television comedy.

What A great. Going In Style, a classic.
"If pizza were manhole covers, the sewer would be a paradise!

I’m sorry to say that my only memory of Art Carney comes from his appearance in The Star Wars Christmas Special. Well, I’m still sad.

I’m up to my knees in my work every day.

Anyone catch his performance in an old Twilight Zone, where he plays a department store Santa fired on Christmas Eve for being drunk? Sad, sweet and eventually comforting. Outside of his few(?) movies, it’s the only thing I ever saw him in.

Yep. Night of the Meek. I always watch it around Christmas time.

From his obituary on CNN:

I never knew. Thanks for everything, Mr. Carney.

No offense, but until this morning I would have lost hands-down a game of “Art Carney - Dead or Alive?”

Until last week, I would have lost, too. Last Tuesday I heard on the radio that it was his birthday, and I thought, “Damn - he’s still alive?” Apparently he’d been pretty ill, but I guess he was determined to make it to 85. Way to hang in there, Norton!

RIP

No, no, no:

“Address the ball.”

"HELLLOOOOOOOOO, BALLLLL!"

He also played the real thing in The Night They Saved Christmas.
