(Artemis related) flatearthers -> moon also flat?

I am just wondering …

do flatearthers believe that just the earth is flat or are all other planets/moons/suns flat as well for them? …

I am just asking questions here …

You need to pay the membership fee, and not just the basic one, for access to that kind of information. What are you trying to pull?

Space is fake. The moon and the sun are below the firmament. Being made of ectoplasm, they have no physical forms.

I can prove that statement is false with one word -

Depends on which crank you ask. I’ve heard;

  • The other planets are round, it’s just the Earth that’s flat because it’s the center of creation
  • The Moon is actually very small and only a couple thousand feet up
  • Something happened to the real Moon and what we see in the sky is a hologram projected by NASA
  • The Moon is Jesus
  • The Moon and the Sun are the same size

And probably some others I’m forgetting.

You joker! Everybody knows the work of Michelson and Morley on the pataphysical properties of ectoplasm.

I keep getting posts on FB about ectoplasm - so there MUST be something going on, … right???

I will do my own research now on tik-tok

The moon is a light, not sure how that works, think it’s like a magic thing to them.

Ether you get that joke, or you don’t.

Michelson and Morley used a light table to prove that there is no ether, a medium thought to be necessary for light to travel.

I think I kind of sort of get it.

Might want to check my spelling more closely.

… The moon is just an optical effect caused by the sun, which is why they are always exactly opposite each other in the sky.

(I mean, they aren’t, because eclipses for one thing, but I have seen flerfs earnestly arguing that the moon is just a thing the sky does at opposition of the sun)

Total AI. Don’t hand me that stuff about AI not existing then. I believe that NASA created fake globes in the 16th century to trick the world so of course I believe that AI existed in 1984. It explains everything.

People, people, it’s all done on a sound stage. Ockham’s Razor!

Pardon my digression.

Here is a great PR stunt for one of the 3 space tourism companies. They should issue a press release offering a free top tier ride to the president of The Flat Earth Society, making sure to mention the retail price.

There is only one condition. Upon return he (presumably) must publicly acknowledge that the Earth is indeed a sphere and disband the organization.

This stunt would cost the company nothing except the opportunity cost of that seat, which very well might already be empty.

Don’t be silly. NASA did hire Stanley Kubrick to fake the moon landings but he was such a stickler for authenticity he insisted it be shot on location.

why bother?

The fact that for ~2 weeks per month you can see the Sun and Moon up in the sky simultaneously and near enough to one another that they’re obviously, smack-in-the-face obviously, not in opposition should debunk that theory.

And yet they believe the nonsense.

This is the age of Aquarius, you guys  :crescent_moon: :star:
