Is there anything about what comes in the box itself that makes this game more fun than many similar games one can play with player-supplied clues (as Charades is traditionally played)? Does it have particularly clever rules or twists or mechanics? Or particularly well chosen clues?
The rules are quite simple, basically make your partner say as many words from a certain category (Object, World, Person, Action, Nature or Random) in 30 seconds and then move that number of spaces.
You can however land on a Control space, which means that all players can guess what you’re trying to describe, which means you need to try to do it in a way that only your partner would know, otherwise you will miss a turn.
The best thing about it though is the clues on the cards, IMO. Some are extremely specific or abstract. I had no idea what/where “Mull of Kintyre” was/is and many of the people you need to describe you will either instantly know or instantly realise you don’t know (which leads to more fun in breaking down the word charades style).
