I saw Elton John (with Ray Cooper) at what was then called the Arrowhead Pond, in Anaheim California in the mid 90s.

When the audience called for “Crocodile Rock”, Sir Elton said:

“I’ll do it, but I want all of you to know that I really hate this song, so here it is for the last time”.

I haven’t seen him since, so I don’t know if he was BSing or not.
