I am looking for a colored background, preferably something of a nature/spring theme. It has to be free too.
Anyone know of any free-to-use artwork out there?
I rarely see free artwork out there. If there is, it’s usually for personal use and not for commercial use.
Kelli, be careful. Some people I know on the web are getting hit for use of clip art and such…research any claims carefully first.
Your best bet might be spending 20 bucks over on the royalty free area of http://www.photodisc.com so you know that it’s legally free. $20,00 is a small price to pay to know that your butt is covered.
That’s where I get some of my stuff from.
I got a whole bunch of spring digital photos, mostly of the DC tidal basin at cherry blossom time. If you can be more specific, perhaps I can send you some. I don’t mind giving you non-exclusive use rights.
I have some which have been altered to look like paintings, too.
