I’ll meet you all on the 7th level - I just laughed out loud at this.
No worries, if6. You just became the first person to swear at me in the Pit after my long years here, so it is worth it.
It’s true though, right? Other school shooters had shotguns and hunting rifles and even pipe bombs but they’re dwarfed in terms of body count by an Asian with a pistol.
If that’s not in The Onion, it should be!
Is there anything those guys can’t do better?!
Not to mention this one!
Yeah, well, that was Hitler’s idea, at least by his lights. And he hasn’t been the only one who tried.
God, what an awful tragedy and a surprisingly funny thread.
I was just having this discussion with someone, too. It’s about time we bananas got recognition beyond math, science, and kung fu. We can use guns and go on murderous rampages, too! Twinkie emotions Gone Wild! yay.
I recall one Law & Order episode about a high-school shooting. Some evidence pointed to a black kid, but the captain was reluctant to accept that on the grounds that a black kid “doesn’t fit the profile.” Turned out she was right – the boy had a solid alibi as he was visiting his father in prison at the time of the shooting. And the actual shooter turned out to be a white boy.
Dude… have you ever played counterstrike? :smack:
Not funny, in my opinion. Too soon.
Raises an interesting debate topic: Does our readiness to wade into these depths testify to our mental health, or the reverse?
OTOH, let’s not debate that.
Yeah, he should have waited five more minutes.

I was reading the Korean news websites and they highlighted two things that I’ve barely seen mentioned in American articles: 1) the fact that the student was a 1.5-generation Korean American and how that supposedly contributed to his insanity, and 2) fear that Korean American students will suffer some kind of knee-jerk reaction on the part of mainstream America. I can’t tell you how offended I am at 1) (honestly, WTF. I hate how Koreans assume Korean Americans are all tortured and conflicted souls; I’m doing just fine here, thankyouverymuch). As for 2), I feel like Koreans are overreacting. Most of the articles I’ve read have focused on the fact that he was just plain weird (his wacky creative writing, for example) rather than anything about his ethnicity. Plus it’s not like he targeted any kind of specific group (I think there was a Korean among those shot as well). I doubt the Korean American community will suffer any kind of serious backlash.
What no mention of Native Americans? Seems a bit discriminatory to me.
Once again the Euro-Judeo-Sino-African mentality is rearing its ugly head in its attempt to keep the Native American from taking a rightful place in our society.
 Dude, be honest. What have you guys brought to the table since Leonard Peltier? And that doesn’t even count! I mean, it was all political and stuff! And there was a lameass body count of two! And he’s probably not guilty anway!
Indians once raised torture of captives to a high art form. It’s sad to see how far you’ve fallen.
Sorry, but somebody had to say it.
Funny. When the shooting was first getting on the news and information about the shooter had not yet been released, one of my co-workers commented, “I bet you anything it was a white kid.”
I love how racist comments like that are perfectly fine, as long as they are about white people. I’m totally going to nail him for this.

I remember a few years ago some black comedian made up a faux quiz a few years ago about black vs. white murderers.
Something along the lines of, if some dude put a cap in his old lady’s ass when he found her dancing with some other dude at a club, he’s Black.
If he’s stored the organs of his victims in his refrigerator and brings the head out occasionally to talk to it or have sex with it, he’s White.
Hmmm . . .
Don’t think it was Chris Rock who said this, but it’s the kind of thing he might say, I think.
