The Chicago Tribune runs an advice column called “Ask Amy” by Amy Dickinson. The last two days, there has been no column, and a small note says “Amy Dickinson is on hiatus.” Normally when she goes on vacation, they rerun some old columns. Also, her vacations normally start on a Monday, not on a Thursday. This has me worried greatly: did some grave misfortune befall Amy?
That’s funny-It seems to be running fine elsewhere.
Maybe there’s some dispute with the Chicago paper?
That would be odd, because the Tribune is her home paper.
Not repeats?
Not labeled as such, no.
She was on hiatus for a while, and ran 10-year-old columns, while she was working on a book.
I came in to say this but nearwildheaven got here first. I read Amy in the Washington Post every day and her column was there this morning.
For anyone who’s an agony aunt junkie like me, I highly recommend Harriet Cole’s column Sense and Sensitivity at Sense & Sensitivity - Life Advice | UExpress.
