I was at a downtown shopping center, having lunch at the food court with a friend. He pointed out a man walking around rather aimlessly and was holding a large, handled, paper shopping back like you might get at the department stores. He was twirling the bag in such a manner that it was obviously empty. My friend told me that he would get an offer (perhaps for $$$) to give a blowjob in the stalls. The paper bag? Well, that was for him to stand in so that from the outside it would like there was only one person in the stall.
Any truth to this part of the stall-sex culture? Seems it would take some agility, but not an excessive amount.
I’ve never heard of this, but it would seem more believable if this guy sat on the toilet and the other guy stood in the bag (between this guy’s legs).
Given your NE Ohio location, I gotta’ ask you a question.
My girlfriend and I had a picnic yesterday at Mill Stream Run Reservation. (Yummy Indian food!) There was a bathroom within sight of where we ate. For a couple of hours, a steady stream of cars arrived, their drivers parking near the bathroom. All the drivers were male, and all of them went into the bathroom; in fact, the only people we saw go into the bathroom were men. Nobody spent more than about two minutes in the restroom before they left and drove off.
My brother did a lot of cross-country driving this summer and told me that at two different truck stops in two different states (AZ and somewhere in the deep South), two different guys approached him in the restroom and asked him if he liked what he saw. He’s been speculating that this is the standard pickup line in truck stop restrooms, but based on what I’m reading here, it’s usually a hell of a lot more discreet than that.
jayjay (and others), is this direct/verbal approach uncommon in your experience? (And is, “Do you like what you see?” the default line? )
I live in the South and have never seen this ever! I even stop in at rest areas sometimes to see if I get cruised. Never happens. Some guys have all the fun. (Note: I am not endorsing restroom cruising. It’s just always been up there on my list of things to do before I die. Like giving myself a piercing, which will happen when my supplies come in.)
I have no way of knowing. It’s certainly the type of place that might be used that way . . . but it’s also used by guys who just need to pee. Was this actually a unisex restroom? If it was, why weren’t there any women using it? And did you actually sit there watching everyone who used it for a couple of hours?
I’ve never heard of anything like this, even in a restroom within a totally gay establishment. There are no restroom pick-up lines whatsoever, especially in a place like a truck stop.
Okay, this isn’t a zombie thread by a longshot yet I believe, considering jayjay even logged on today. I was just curious after watching the new interview online (Matt Lauer), what is your opinion on Larry Craig’s possible innocence? He did his best to give some excuses for his behavior, and I really felt bad for the guy squirming (actually I feel for his wife).
I know you didn’t start this thread to give your political opinion, but I was just interested in what you think anyway. Thank you.
I don’t think he’s got an innocent bone in his body on this one. The behavior was right in line with deliberate cruising, and he has rumors about this very thing from before (in the Union Station restroom, for one). IF the behavior weren’t so perfectly fitting for someone cruising, and he hadn’t had rumors swirling around him before this about this very issue, I’d say he was possibly misread by the airport cop. But the rumors and the behaviors did happen, so I’d say no…he meant to do what they say he meant to do.
