Ask the guy wearing a nice pair of brown wing-tips about love, life and his outfit

Darned uncomfortable for your mother.

[hijack]

Poetwarlord, my sister just recently purchased a pair of women’s wingtip style slingbacks. in black. (can be seen here)

I wish I could tell you the brand, however, just knowing such shoes exist is helpful, right?

[/end hijack]

Brownish-red. More brown than red.

Size 13, but I don’t know how wide. I’d say average width. I can’t speak for all guys, but I’d say the wingtips look damn good on my feet.

Since these aren’t strictly brown shoes (brownish-red, more brown than red), I’ve worn them with tan as well as navy pants. I imagine they’d look good with olive pants-- maybe. I question whether they’d look good with black or grey pants, though.

Nope.

You go with your wingtipped self.

Black Sketchers, white Adidas with blue stripes (two different pair).

I had a co-worker recently ask where I got my black Sketchers. He said he liked them.

Not so much, I would guess. Although I’m married, and have a satisfying love life, so I guess I’m doing alright for myself. But do the shoes help? Well, they don’t hurt.

Can’t say that they do.

Just that one co-worker, that I can remember.

I’m 32. I’m not really sure what age demo prefers the 'tips. Hell, I’m not even sure what age demo I fall into. Older crowd or younger guy?

And there’s really no way to send them back if they’re the wrong color.

A Calvinist, eh? What does your mother think of your rock and or roll lifestyle?

Oh, and nice shoes.

With a user name like that, you so need to leave this thread.

Touche.

 :stuck_out_tongue:

[exits stage left]

Oh, mom’s very proud of my creative writing.

Today is H.L. Mencken’s birthday – is this something the wingtip shoe contingent celebrates in any particular way?

First rule of the wingtip shoe contingent: Never talk about the wingtip shoe contingent.
haha I’m just kidding. Actually that’s the second rule. The first rule is: Wear wingtip shoes. The third rule of the wingtip shoe contingent is to joke nervously while trying to avoid questions about the wingtip shoe contingent.

Why are they called wing-tipped?

Answer. Because of the wing-like design at the tips.

While looking up pics of wingtips at Google images, I came across these.

Damn, those are sharp, I just don’t know where I’d ever where them.

Combine them with a seersucker suit and a straw boater and you’d be Leon Redbone.

What I like about this guy (aside from his wingtips) is that his supposed birthname is Dickran and he changed it to Redbone.

Clearly, you need to join a ska band.

Well hell, why didn’t you say so? How YOU doin’?

How often do you shine those wingtips?

Only never!
