Ahh…I’m just trolling. It’s highly unlikely I know the answer to anything.
And I am also trying to make a point that misleading titles for the sake of sucking people into looking at a thread are irritating. It seems to me there is a fine point between a catchy but accurate title and a completely inaccurate title that is “catchy” to the point of misleading.
Don’t bother to reply; perhaps this should be in the pit b/c I am just venting. Slow news day.
Ha ha! This reminds me of a scene from the movie Broadcast News. (A movie loaded with great quotes, btw.)
A television network news bureau is attending a party at the bureau chief’s home. A newsworthy international event arises and they all need to scramble to either get back to the studio or to the airport.
While the bureau chief, Paul Moore (Peter Hackes) is assigning tasks and giving direction to the team, he endures several interruptions from the know it all, smart ass yet passionate producer, Jane Craig (Holly Hunter). At one point she breaks in on a conversation he’s having with some other upper management types to tell him he’s doing it all wrong.
Moore loses it, takes her aside, and sarcastically hisses, “It must be nice to always believe you know better, to always think you’re the smartest person in the room.”
Having no idea she’s being whooshed, she thinks about it for a second and then replies, with absolute sincerity, “No. It’s awful.”
Hunter’s delivery was perfect! Still cracks me up…
