what’s left of me still has a sense of humor so step right up and let’s move this project forward.
Well, that’s not good! When did you find out?
How do you feel physically?
I’d never heard of goblet cells until just now. How did they find it?
StG
I’m sorry for your bad news and wish you the best.
Like Dung Beetle and StGermain I am curious about whole process of the diagnosis:
- I suppose you didn’t feel quite right for a while. What were your initial symptoms and how long did you wait before seeing a primary care physician?
- Did he have any clue you might have cancer or did he misdiagnose you and you then spent months getting worse?
- How long did it take before he referred you to a cancer specialist? How long did it take for the specialist to figure out the problem? Or did he misdiagnose the type of cancer…?
So are you feeling angry that the primary care physician or specialist made major mistakes?
Where is it located. I had an Uncle with it in his appendix. It was removed but he had cells elsewhere. He had it for several decades. He died of a heart attack
I had no issues with pain or even discomfort Until May 3rd 2019 when I caught a chill late in the afternoon that ramped up into the night. Thank all that is good and pure for my 77 year old Mother for putting her boot in my rear end and forcing me to ER.
That chill was so violent and persistent that my full abdomen was beat up by the shaking to the point that I was sure my diaphragm was damaged. Within hours it was determined to be my appendix and surgery was set for the next morning. As I’m looking forward to getting the hell out of that hospital as soon as possible, my surgeon shows up with a man who he says has some news for me. The very next day it was back on the slab for hemicolectomy.
The treatment included twelve rounds of 5fu (fluorouracil) that had to be cut short due to the drug induced neuropathy, I endured ten round then told em I’d rather die than continue. Rounds where every fourteen days. Plumbing problems persist (no bag) and my diet and sleep are wonky. I lost 60 pounds in 60 days so they diagnosed my as Anorexic, gave me female hormones to gain weight, put me on Ativan and here I am.
Thanks to all who read and or replied
Oh, dude. That sounds horrible. I’ve lost a bunch of weight I couldn’t afford to lose. I’m told to keep eating and drinking the protein shakes (ugh)
I hope you feel better soon.
