So any questions? I am in no way an expert but I am a fan and at the moment I’m very happy, and I will try to answer your questions.

Did you think England’s qualification was in doubt at any stage of the proceedings?
Do you agree that Beckham worked twice as hard as anyone else?
Do you think that the German team is upset at all?
I have to say that with 85 mins gone I was worried but then I get worried every time the opposition makes an attack.
Of course before Sven took over it looked like we wouldnt qualify at all
Beckham definatly worked twice as hard as everyone else but then he has twice the tallent. In the post-match summary every good England move involved Beckham.
I would love to see the piece of film of the Germans sitting on the pitch seconds away from qualification, with just the beginings of a celebration. And their faces when the free-kick went in, Priceless
I haven’t kept track of the day’s events, but I take it you must have qualified. Congratulations!
Some questions:
Are you at all embarassed you had to drag in a Swede(?) to do what no Brit could do?
What steps is England taking to ensure their fans won’t embarass them/get them banned with their behavior in S. Korea and Japan?
How far do you truly believe the England side will advance in the Finals?
Will this make your journalists stop writing things like “we could play Geoff Hurst and Gary Lineker and still win”? No, I didn’t think so …
angledave44 is busy at the moment so thanks for the congratulations and:
When Sven-Goran was appointed manager, most of the press were against the idea. They’ve all eaten their words. He has several advantages over previous managers such as Hoddle, Keegan and Taylor, namely that he started the job with no preconceptions regarding the players, he is tactically superior to those three put together, and he wins games. Embarrassed, no. Pleased, yes.
Good question. I have no doubt that a lot of thought will be put into this, and British police will be sharing their experiences with Japan and Korea. I imagine that with the venue being so distant there will be less trouble than in Holland & Belgium during Euro2000. Still, the prospect of trouble does make one worry.
Realistically, a quarter final place should be within our compass.
Good question
Like most of these things it only takes a few idiots to ruin the whole thing and give everyone a bad reputation.
After the previous european championship and worldcup the FA decided that we did have a real problem and something neaded to be done before we ended up getting banned.
Using video evidence the police identified known trouble makers and at the begining of a new event passports are confiscated so they cant travel to the games.
they also cant buy official ticket ( although this doesnt stop the idiots getting tickets it makes it a lot harder )
All the trouble kicks off when England are beaten. I hope that this time the fools dont get their way and that everything passes piecefully after all its just a game
Isnt it?
Cheers nostradamus the trouble with being 6 hours ahead!
