You have a fascinating set of beliefs. Then again, so does everyone else. That’s what makes America great.

My question for you is this: What do you intend to do wrt these beliefs? Or…what do you hope to be done?

You want to stand down on the corner and shout them really loud? Be my guest. I suggest heavy clothes.

You want to write a book about the superiority of whites over blacks or Asians over whites? Okay. Don’t be surprised if I don’t buy it.

You want to pass some laws? Change the Constitution? Kill all the niggers? In that case, you have my complete and undivided attention, and probably a brand new enemy.

So, where do you stand?

I am not happy with the typical responses to black/white differences. There are just too many parallels between US blacks and Africans.

I’m assumihg that you mean black Africans, but please bear in mind that African does not automatically equal black.

For example: violence and degradation in US inner cities and the nations in Africa.

This could be a problem. Firstly, there is a well-established correllation between poverty and crime. Inner cities in the US are likely to house more poor people, therefore more crime. It certainly appears that race is not a necessary factor. Further, I’m not sure what “degradation” you’re talking about in Africa. Civil war, border disputes, warlords . . . those all happen everywhere. Again, there’s no reason that race plays a role.

Another: Sexual restriant (or lack thereof) parallels to black single mothers in the US and the promiscuity in Africa that leads to AIDS.

Poor people have more kids. Blacks in the US are generally less affluent than whites. Ergo, more kids. And do you have any evidence that the HIV epidemic in Central Africa is caused by promiscuity? That seems a stretch to me without any support.

The most common response: “blame whitey”, in grand doublespeak fashion!

Now, you’re being alarmist here. It’s never good to use knee-jerk rhetoric to fight knee-jerk rhetoric.

In the US, its because whites are there to oppress.

I’ll grant that there are some folks who believe this way. There are also folks who believe that blacks and other minorities in the US are less successful than whites because of 300 years of institutionalized and accepted racism, and the beliefs that blacks are somehow inferior to whites because of their skin color.

In Africa, its because whites aren’t there to help.

Er, no, actually. In Africa, it’s by and large because Europeans (British, French, Dutch, German, and Portugese primarily), spent a hundred years bleeding Africa as hard as they could, leaving no economies, govenments, or infrastructures behind.

I do notice no one disputed when I said Asians like the Japanese do better than whites in those areas.

I’m getting there. I’d like an answer to my question first, though:

Are the issues you brought up, the ways in which you believe blacks to be inferior to whites, biologically caused? Are blacks inferior because of their genetic makeup?

The phrase “Not the Mama” comes from the Disney/Jim Henson-produced TV series Dinosaurs, which ran on ABC from 1991 to 1995. It was the name Baby Sinclair always used for his Dad, Earl.

farley, it’s most likely just a coincidence that notthemama has chosen this name. It would be like two different people picking “Romeo” or “Luke Skywalker” or “Nixon” or some other known phrase or name.

I suppose it’s also possible you two know each other IRL, though, and that’s where this feud originated.

Jab, it’s a private thing, but we don’t know each other IRL. I had the name first here at the SDMB, a month ago, she’s an old “friend” who stomped off, and came back this afternoon and started chasing me around the MB. Don’t sweat it. She seems to think that “revenge is a dish best eaten cold”, but I think she’s having a little trouble dishing up soup with a fork.

For example, I have posted about how black on white crime is much more an epidemic than vice versa, even though it’s reported with less sensationalism. I have been told “It’s because of poverty”, but then how do you explain millionaire athletes like the ones I brought up above?

I don’t really think that there’s anything to discuss. If you believe that the Japanese are “superior”, I don’t think that there’s any way that I can convince you otherwise; it’s not like these sort of statements are normally based upon rational reasoning. However, from what I’ve heard of Japanese society, the Japanese can hardly be said to repress their sexual urges.

Mob violence? I’m not sure I follow.

Your name is a reference to the Klan, is it not? One of the central positions of the Klan was that lynching was a superior way of dealing with “uppity niggers” than due process of law. Do you agree?

I think it was. Dinosaurs was/is one of my favorite TV series. I’m thinking about starting a MPSIMS thread about favorite cancelled TV shows. Dinosaurs would definitely be on the list.
