Crafter Man,this has been a real eye opener. Thank you for this thread.
One thing that intrest me about you more than anything is your stance on race and that your milita would be open to accept other races/genders. That’s a shocker for me because my assupmtion of most militias were offshoots of the KKK, Neo Nazis or as previosly stated, other right wing organizations. If not offshoots of the KKK or Nazis, they were at least whites-Christian-conservatives only, much like the militas in that one racist guy who recenly died wrote of in his book.
Are most militas open in this way, or is yours a rare exception. Also, what makes a milita different from a gang? This is not meant to be a crack, but much Militas and gangs both have a view of negative light from the public, yet the public dosen’t realize that both groups are extmevy diverse in beleifs and opionions.
No. And it’s not due to ignorance. Without going into detail, I’ll just say that much of my professional work is associated with such systems. I know what they’re capable of. All too well.
We (obviously) do not have the means to conventionally battle an enemy with such resources, should (God forbid) it ever come to it. But all is not lost. As eluded to a few posts ago, there are techniques for dealing with just about any threat regardless of technological discrepancies. But I really wish to not elaborate on this point.
I am not aware of any militia (or militia member) that discriminates on account of ethnicity, gender or creed. So based on my experience, I would have to conclude our militia is typical in this respect.
I admit I do not know much about gangs, but it is my understanding they’re primarily self-serving and more-often-than-not involved in unlawful activities. Please let me know if this is an unfair characterization.
While we are a bit more tolerant of zombie threads than we have been in the past, opening a nine year old thread to post an off-topic question in all caps does not seem to be a good reason to leave this thread open.
lammbo396, if you really need an answer, (or, at least, one not easily provided through Google), you might try posting the question in General Questions.
Some interesting points here, though, that I hadn’trealized. These Second Amendment proponents like** Crafter Man**, who base their actions on a dubious (to me) interpretation of the Constitution, seem to be claiming that if (somehow) that Amendment were interpreted (again, to me, quite reasonably) to restrict the meanings of "militia’ and “well-ordered” and a few other terms that would restrict the owning and use of guns, they would abandoned their reliance on the law, and forcefully resist surrendering their firearms to a government that tried to enforce the legal interpretation of the Constitution.
Is crafter man still active around here? I would be very interested to hear of any updates / developments in his militia and the world of militias in general. I admit I have fallen behind in reading the militia trade journal press, so I don’t know what’s going on in that world right now.
Is there anybody else around here with experience with a militia who would be willing to give info / details?
Also, I always stereotype militias as being right wing groups. Is there anyone here with first hand knowledge of left wing radicalism who would be willing to start an “ask the” thread about it?
I’m glad someone resurrected this zombie. I had always thought that militias were full of paranoid irrational people. I can’t say my mind has changed much at all.
Yep. He’s a current active poster. I would have guessed that he would have dropped by unless he’s unsubscribed from the thread and hasn’t noticed it’s resurrection on his own.
