RIP Maggie, I always enjoyed your participation on this board. You’ll be missed.

I’m so sorry to hear this. :frowning:

She had my favorite user name on any board. RIP.

Damn, another good one gone.

RIP, Maggie.

Awww:(

I’m glad you snuck out four extra years after a death sentence. I have thought of you every time I’ve examined the diameter of my poop since you started this thread and that will probably never stop. Rest in peace.

I’m sad to hear this.

Oh no, this is sad. Strength and serenity to her loved ones.

I know this was intended to be an inspirational comment, and I don’t want to detract from the good intentions. However, I would like to point out that the people who survive cancer don’t survive because they fought harder to live than those who end up dying of it.

Your friend is very, very lucky that her cancer did not spread beyond the liver. That is the only reason she is still alive - because in some cases, people who have their color cancer spread to the liver haven’t had it spread any further than that and the liver tumors can be killed to stop its spread to other organs. If she had been unlucky enough to have tumors in other body parts at diagnosis as Maggie unfortunately did, the sad truth is that she would have ended up dying of the illness too.

With many types of cancer, it doesn’t matter how hard you fight or how desperately you want to live. I give Maggie credit for trying to maintain a positive attitude while accepting that the cancer was not curable. That is just as strong and courageous to me as anyone who manages to survive cancer.

My condelences to her loved ones. :frowning:

RIP, Maggie.

God damn it. Be at peace, Maggie - I always enjoyed your posts. Condolences to the family and friends, and to the Dope - we’ve lost a good 'un.

Maggie fought a good fight. I am sorry she is gone. Though I did not know her, I followed her story and found it educational and inspirational. The board is poorer for her loss.

RIP, Maggie. I will think of you and appreciate your contributions.

Rest in Peace, Maggie.:frowning:
