Assuming we limp away from Iraq debacle at some point, what lessons do we take away?

One thing we should learn is that George the First’s huge mistake was allowing Saddam to remain in power after the first war. When you label someone as being “As bad as Hitler”, as George the First correctly did, you shouldn’t then allow that person to remain on the throne after the hostilities stop. Saddam’s abdication should’ve been an essential condition in the treaty that ended the first war.

I support what Bush is doing in Iraq. I don’t think it means I’m Bush supporter through and through. I am certainly not a Republican. The only party I ever was a member of was All-Soviet Leninist Communist Youth League (I was pressed). I believe any party organization is basically evil.
