HE’S BACK!
I watched Astro Boy on TV in Chicago during the 1960’s, & I’m thrilled to see that the original manga are being re-printed in softcover book format.
Recently, Tezuka’s Metropolis was made into a full-length animated motion picture, & I remembered how fond I was of his work.
Osamu Tezuka’s art & stories are wonderously charming, & knowing that at least 7 volumes are planned…will put me back about $70.
Oh well. It’s worth it.
Anybody else remember Astro Boy?
Hey! In the Calvin & Hobbes strip he DID look like Astro Boy. I always thought he just looked like an astro boy. Didn’t even know there was an Astro Boy.

I’ve got #'s 1, 2, &3 already, & #4 on order from What It Is, Comics & Collectables, which is Murfreesboro’s oldest comics shop. No, I don’t own it. Wish I did!
