Astro buys an axe! Oh yeah!

That’s right! I’m going electric! Yeah, Baby! Yeah!!

I happened across a couple of co-workers who were going out galavanting, and they happened to mention that they were going by a flea-market store specializing in guitars… I tagged along, and fell in love!

I am now the proud owner of a Vester (huh? Never heard of it) Stage series electric guitar! About $50… But Damn! It plays nice… and it has that “broken-in” look that we hard-core rockers need!

Oh yeah!

My fingers are sore, but I am happy and the neighbors are NOT! Life is good.

Damn! I was so hoping it would be some D&D-type two headed battle axe. I’m so disappointed now…well, this way the neighbours just wish that they were dead

Astrofiancee’s out of town again, isn’t she?

HEY! TURN THAT THING DOWN!!!

Crank it buddy! There is nothing like flailing away with the amp dialed up and some good overdrive and distortion patched in. Get those power chords going then head out for a romp with some lead action. Here’s hoping you have a 4x12 cabinet to do the job right. If the paint ain’t flaking and there isn’t dust shaking down from the ceiling, you aren’t playing loud enough!

Get yourself a nice little Danelectro practice amp. Little baby jobby-do that you can darn near fit into your wallet. Nice and quiet. Yes, that’s the way to go. Trust me.

Married to a man who plays just too darn loud…

Rock the fuck on, Astro.

I purchased a bodhran this week. (It’s a Celtic drum.) I’m overjoyed, my dormies are a bit less so.

Does that one go to 11?

It goes to 12, Tommy! Whoo hoo!!

Anyone know anything about Vester Guitars? I’m having very little luck finding out anything about them online…

Here you go.

Try this link, the other one sucked.

Thanks, Zen… but I found that one too!

I phrased my question badly: I should have asked “Does anyone know where I can find any info on the company that made Vester guitars?” All I can find through google are pictures of the guitars, a few discussions about them, some auction sites, etc. But no info on the company itself…

However, as that seems to be more of a GQ, so I’ll trip on over there and post it…

Yes, Arden, she is…:frowning:

There will be hell to pay when she comes back, however! On several fronts: her mother forbade her to go to Saipan, but she got the OK from Grandma, brother and father and went anyway… So, BIG fight with mama coming when she gets back…

Also, we’re supposed to be saving money for a house after we get married… and she will have a fit that I bought ANOTHER guitar (I now have 3)!

I’m a bad boy…

At least I haven’t bought a motorcycle yet! (though next time she leaves me… who knows?)

Hey I can teach ya how to play wild thing! (it’s the only thing I can play)
And guess what? My husband went out and bought a new motorcycle today…and I let him back in the house…funny how forgiving us girls can be.
rock on!

There used to be a column in Guitar Player called “off the wall” by Teisco Del Rey. It was all about “inexpensive” guitars. If Teisco can still be contacted, he might have some info.
