Ate a Twinkie Today

How did he feel about it?

And don’t give me any “SnowBall” or “Ding-Dong” bullshit.

It was in MMPSIMS. (And eating a Twinkie is very mundane and pointless.) But yeah, probably best suited for Cafe Society, if you consider Twinkies food.

I’ve heard of King Dons, but not King Dongs.

I’ve never heard “King Dong” as an alternate name, but the spokescharacter is called that.

I haven’t eaten or even noticed any of these yummy yet also totally retched snacks in decades. I’m getting all misty eyed and nostalgic :o My favorite were the cupcakes. When I was very young I thought the white swirls on the top was writing (weird, I know). Not sure why all the hate for Twinkies. Obvioulsy they have no nutritional value, etc. but what’s not like?

Pedantic, but wretched. Retched just implies there’s something…worse…done to them before you enjoy.

Please, someone eat one of them new deep fried Twinkies and let us know what it’s like. I would bite the bullet so to speak and do it myself, but I am hovering at the edge of obesity alreadly…

Our local 7-Eleven has 'em.

I can’t believe I did that but it kind of fits, no ? :smack::stuck_out_tongue:

Other than Ding Dongs, the best wereyellow cupcakes. They had a better flavor than the “chocolate” cupcakes.

I think they were considered a limited offering, and disappeared before the Downfall. If they’ve come back, too, that’d be wonderful.

I remember these - wasn’t the frosting orange?

I thought you were talking about the grandkids.

I was kicked out of Cub Scouts for eating Br

The bestest snack of my youth was a TastyKake Butterscotch Krimpet. I don’t know what happened to the recipe between the 60s and now, but they’re just not the same. Nor are any of the TastyKake products I’ve had in recent years. So very, very sad… :frowning:

I hadn’t had any for a really long time, but I just found some unexpectedly in 7-11 last night. I don’t know if they’d disappeared and have now come back, or if I just hadn’t been looking in the right place before (I’m in 7-11 on average about twice a year).

Anyway, they were still as delicious as I remember them from my childhood.

Those were different. Like Halloween cupcakes or something.

The yellowcake (now with uranium!) cupcakes had the standard frosting and filling, just yummier cake.

Also, we bought these the other day. Not all that much better, sadly

No such thing as King Dongs. Ding Dongs became known as King Dons, mostly where Ring Dings were also sold, to avoid confusion between brands.

I ate a Twinkie last week. I’m am exercise nut, don’t know why I did it. The Twinkie, sadly, was the gateway drug for me. I graduated to an enormous bag of Fritos, followed by four Big Macs.
Then… The fries…omg, the fries…
Of course my body wasn’t used to that kind of"food".
The next two days I miserably expelled the remnants of my folly.
I thought I was going to die.
Fast food in America, AKA, population control…

I love TastyKakes, they once put out a limited edition (supposedly aimed at Hispanics) of mango flavor somethings. OMG it was good. Sadly disappeared in favor of the eternal same old same old.

Moderation in all things.

Words to live by.

mmmm…Big Macs…

Just not so many anymore.
