I want to visit San Francisco some time this year and I thought about perhaps going during NFL season. What’s the atmosphere like at a 49ers game? I’m an Arizona Cardinals fan, but I won’t be going to that game since it is in January. So, I’ll cheer for the 49ers. Is it full of drunken assholes that ruin the game?
I’ve been once, about 15 years ago. I didn’t find it objectionable at all, and I was wearing a Dolphins hat (the game was against the Rams). Good-natured ribbing, but nothing like I would’ve expected from, say, the Black Hole, across the Bay.
Parking is awful, unless they paved the mud pit in the last 15 years. Not sure if BART swings by, but you may want to consider it or Muni if they do.
