InformationWeek isn’t independent?
I’m not quite sure why this would apply to gmail/googlemail users. Wouldn’t this just apply to users of the g-archiver tool?

And, Mtgman, the page of g-archiver specifically addresses gmail users, so my guess would be it’s a tool tailor-made for gmail.

I was asking a question. You’re either saying that InformationWeek isn’t independent, which I’d find interesting and would note for interpreting future Slashdot stories, or that you didn’t read the Slashdot story you posted. I can’t tell which.
Since Slashdot is reporting a story from IW, then the IW story isn’t independent, is it?
Ok, I think I thought you meant independent of Slashdot – not in addition to the sources named in the story.
