Attn: Coin Collectors

I found a 1927 Buffalo nickel, Philadelphia minted. Is it worth more than the 5 cent face value. If so, how would I go about selling it to an interested party?

What would Brian Boitano do / If he was here right now /
He’d make a plan and he’d follow through / That’s what Brian Boitano would do.

What’s the condition of the coin? Does it have any scratches on it? Can you still see all the details on the surface of the coin?

A coin that is MS (Mint State) 65 will be worth much more than a coin that has scratches, nicks etc… could be worth almost nothing except face value.

Here’s a web site that discusses the issue.

Official winner of Bricker Challenge #5.

Depending upon the condition, it could be worth between $0.75 to $130.00. You say you found it, so I’m assuming it’s been circulated which reduces value drastically.

I punched “buffalo nickel” in www.dogpile.com and got a couple dozen coin sites.
