My best friend is starting up a “charity-a-thon” to get underprivleged kids Christmas gifts. The full story can be found on her LiveJournal: kestrel127, but basically she read about a plea for Christmas gifts, offered her own services and decided to send the plea out to others. Only problem is, she’s in DC and the charity is in San Francisco. I am in San Francisco, so to save complicated shipping of knit goods I offered to be a recieving bin. And, to do my part, I thought I’d post here to widen the field.
All those interested e-mail me at pucksraven at aol dot com and I’ll send you information and an address to send the gifts to. Be sure to put SMDB or Knit Gifts or similar in the subject so I don’t accidentally delete it. There will be a raffle with prizes for handmade goods, though I’ll accept gifts, certificates etc if you want to give but aren’t handy.
