Anyway, in the linked thread, somewhere towards the last two or three pages of it, I somehow managed to get a few attorneys interested enough to talk about my case, in very general terms. I was mostly complaining about the lack of progress my attorney seemed to be making.
Today, if anyone is interested, I received a copy of whatever attorneys call the paperwork they file with a court on behalf of their clients. It appears that I and my Darling Marcie are now officially suing the corporation that owns the truck that smacked my car for allowing their employee to operate said truck in a negligent manner. We are also suing the employee who smacked my car in his capacity as an employee of the corporation and we are also suing the person who smacked my car as a negligent driver, independent of the corporation, just because we can, so far as I can tell. Anyway, the paperwork lists Counts 1, 2, and 3 wherein I am suing and it lists Counts 4, 5, and 6 wherein my Darling Marcie is suing the same folk I am suing, but for different reasons.
It appears that my Darling Marcie and I are suing “for money damages, including costs, and any other relief this court deems appropriate and a trial by jury.”
I suppose I am happy that the mills of the gods are at last grinding, though they do grind exceedingly slow. Justice for the people, I think it is called.
