Audacity punks out again-No mixer on Windows 7.

I need a patch for Audacity. It didn’t work on my Vista, regardless of what patches I downloaded. Now, I have a new computer with Windows 7, and there isn’t even a mixer toolbar. Rather, I can’t find a drop down for line, stereo, etc… as on XP.
Is there a patch for it? I downloaded the Beta version, and it was worthless for me.

Actually, is there a free recorder like Audacity that will work on Windows 7?

The audacity sourceforge page recommends the 1.3 (beta) version of audacity for use with Windows 7 and Vista. If you haven’t already tried that it might solve your issues.

Well, I did it: then, I downloaded the fixes that they had. It works like a charm!
