Audio presenting from only right speaker when using pc audio

My dual speakers have decided to only play game and other PC audio from right Speaker. If i imput audio from an external device via bluetooth both speakers work fine. Have also noticed that occasionally the game will open up on right monitor instead of the left, but this only occured a few times and is not a regular thing.

What trouble-shooting steps have you tried?

Ok, bluetooth input works. Have you tried a regular wired line-in?

Is the problem occuring when you use headphones, or just the speakers?

Have you tried an online test, like this randomly picked one: https://www.onlinemictest.com/sound-test/

Are your speakers even connected, and if powered speakers, are they actually on? (I assume the answer here is “yes”, if bluetooth works)

Are you using the built-in/onboard speakers, or to where does the audio out feed to from your PC? If it goes to an amp or receiver, is that working as expected…

So many possible issues, you need to give a little more information on your setup and what you have tried.

Edit: some distant memory of when I last used Windows (I assume you use Windows?) tells me that there may be a setting in Control Panel (or whatever it is now called) for each input method, for balance etc.

Check what’s going on in your sound mixer. Speakers and Bluetooth have two different settings. If in Win11 go to system/sound and click on the output device and look at the left and right channels.

Ok Folks, it was just a loose cable. It has been reconnected with no further issues. Thanks thought for zour help!

Just checking now, I notice that a LOT of the so-called ‘test’ sites which are supposed to test stereo actually just emphasize one side over the other. Rather than presenting the test audio truly on one side or the other. Not very well constructed, I think?

Not a big deal, just an observation as an audio engineer.
