Well almost.
I’m getting insanely jealous of all these dopefests going on lately, and the distance between our Aussie capitals makes it a little difficult for us dopers to meet up with each other on anything other than an ad hoc basis. Aussie snopesers have the same problem.
So, it occured to me that the ABC’s Self Service Science Forum posters share many similar interests and outlooks with dopers and snopesers. They are also extremely efficient at organising regular social events in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide, and Melbourne (there’s a SSSF Easter Egg in Sydney this weekend, and one in Brisbane next weekend).
I just wondered whether anyone else would be interested in attending events comprising members of the 3 message boards combined? It strikes me as one way we could be with likeminded people even when there aren’t enough dopers or snopesers available to hold a special event.
Anyone interested?
BTW SSSF events are usually organised taking into account transport and the fact that people have children.
